"Today, our project has been included to the Ministry of Health application, which in turn will be considered in the Ministry of Economic Development. If approved, the federal funding could start in 2017," Yakutia Minister of Health Alexander Gorokhov told reporters in May 26.
The cost of construction of the Republic Oncologic Dispensary in Yakutsk is 3,75 billion rubles, including 1,5 billion from the federal budget. The first phase is construction of cancer clinic center with a polyclinic for 210 visits, in-patient department for 210 hospital beds, radiology department and administration block. The second phase involves the construction of PET-center (the center of positron emission tomography), the third – the hotel block.
According to the Minister, today questions to transfer property and land in Yakutsk city have been addressed; technical specifications and tender documents for the design of reconstruction of the radiology department and the construction of the main body, and hospital outpatient clinics are being drawn up.
We recall, the problem of the cancer center in Yakutsk construction was raised in 2012. In April 2013, a competition for the development of design estimates was announced. Later, however, the terms were challenged by the participants and the contest was declared void. Alternatively, the republic authorities considered the possibility of the project on the basis of public-private partnerships, including with the involvement of foreign investors. In late 2014, the RF Ministry of Health refused the cancer center building in Yakutsk "due to changes in the economic situation." Defending the need in important facility, the republic public and authorities had addressed to the head of the state, who supported their position.
