In July 28, "Gazprom processing Blagoveshchensk" and JSC "NIPIgaspererabotka" reached agreement on a partnership for design, coordination, supply of equipment, materials and construction management of the Amur gas processing plant near the town Svobodny of the Amur region. Amur GPP will be the largest in Russia and one of the largest enterprise on natural gas processing in the world. The design capacity of the enterprise, as stated, will be up to 49 billion cubic meters per year. The plant will include the world's largest helium production.

Amur gas processing plant will get multicomponent gas through the pipeline "Power of Siberia" from Yakutsk and Irkutsk gas production centers, created by "Gazprom" in the framework of the Eastern Gas Program.

Commodity products of GPP are methane, ethane, propane, butane, pentane-hexane fraction and helium. Construction of the plant will use the most modern technological solutions that will minimize the impact on the environment.

The preliminary cost of construction of the Amur GPP, including VAT and contractor's fee, will amount to 790 billion rubles.

Completion is scheduled for June 30, 2025. The project is implemented as part of "Power of Siberia" gas transportation system construction.
