The meeting paid special attention on a number of problems. First, head of Yakutia has expressed concern at the increasing number of traffic accidents and incidents. "We need to conduct a thorough analysis and to develop measures to improve the transport infrastructure, the quality of passenger services and, above all, improve the driving culture," said Yegor Borisov, giving appropriate instructions to the heads of relevant departments.
The first deputy chairman Pavel Marinychev reported on the main macroeconomic indicators. According to him, the growth of gross regional product index was 3,5% against the sub-zero rates in the whole country, industrial production positive dynamics reached 6,7%, the sector of trade – 2,1% due to the inertia of previous years. The growth of nominal wages in the republic is expected as a result of decision to raise the minimum wage.
Economy Minister Valery Maksimov has warned that, despite the expected increase in profits of commodity companies, the domestic costs may increase due to inflation and decline of oil prices in the world market. "We should ensure faster growth of wages in the framework of May decrees execution. We will strongly fund this direction", he said. In this regard, Yegor Afanasievich instructed to conduct a thorough analysis of the external environment and bring budget forecast for 2016 for discussion.
The Minister of Economy also informed about the planned first meeting with representatives of the Chinese railway company, VTB Bank and USK "Bridge" as part of creation a consortium for construction of a bridge across the Lena River. The agreements should be the basis to continue the conversation at the level of the Ministry of Transport of Russia, as well as negotiations with the Chinese ambassador. According to Valery Maximov, the project will be the joint, as China had admitted it could not build the bridge piers in the permafrost without the Russian specialists’ participation.
Deputy chairman Victor Omukov reported that the situation with the Arctic navigation is stable. The largest part of the cargo has been delivered in the rivers Yana, Indigirka, Kolyma.
