The visits of the delegation from the Land of the Rising Sun to the republic have become traditional. Last September, the vice-governor of Niigata prefecture Hanadzumi Hideё and CEO of "Yakutia" airline Olga Fedorova signed a symbolic agreement of intentions in Yakutsk. Under the agreement, the airline "Yakutia" has performed charter flights to Niigata from the cities of Khabarovsk and Vladivostok on modern Russian airplanes Sukhoi Superjet – 100 in summer.
This year, the Deputy Director General Sergei Volkov thanked Mrs. Yuko Kiryu and the delegation for the visit, stressed the importance of good neighborly relations between the two countries, expressed gratitude to the prefecture for support of the charter programs. Marketing director of airline "Yakutia" Gregory Reshetnikov told the audience about the results of flights to Japan, noting that the number of passengers has increased, compared to the previous year.
For their part, head of the Japanese delegation, Ms. Yuko Riryu thanked the company management for fruitful cooperation, noted the great importance of charter flights for NiygataPrefecture and expressed the need for "Yakutia" airline to consider the regular flights to Japan.
Then, the participants of the meeting discussed the possibility of expanding the business, tourism and cultural ties with Japan, the Russian Far East and Yakutia.
