The Sakha Republic (Yakutia) has been the starting point for the visit of the Nomura Institute to the Far Eastern regions on the Eastern Economic Forum results.
During the meeting, held October 27, Director General of Investment Promotion Agency Alexei Zagorenko presented the activities of the Agency, as well as the investment potential of the republic, including ongoing and planned investment projects.
The Japanese counterparts see potential of the Far Eastern Federal District on the prospects of territorial development. According to Alexei Zagorenko, territorial development is directly connected with the transport infrastructure development, where the Northern Sea Route project revival will certainly play a key role in creation of large transport and logistics center, along with construction of a bridge across the Lena River near the Yakutsk city.
During the meeting, Mr. Iwata, head of Nomura Institute branch said that systematic work in areas of marketing and development of a unified marketing strategy is a cornerstone in attracting investors to the region.
