Today, the largest project of economic cooperation is construction of the gas pipeline "Power of Siberia." On this basis, we determine the direction of joint work, including the expansion of geography – at the level of the municipalities and provinces of two countries ", head of Yakutia Yegor Borisov told reporters after the plenary meeting.
"Heilongjiang Province owns about a third of the Chinese investment in the Russian economy and a quarter of the foreign trade volume. From our part, we are interested in development of economic relations in the sphere of processing of agricultural products, timber, tourism, provision of industrial technology," said vice-governor of Heilongjiang Province Sun Yao.
He noted that the head of Yakutia has been in China within the framework of the Russian-Chinese exhibition "EXPO" and expressed the hope that "this year, Mr. Borisov will take part in it too."
At the end of the plenary session, agreements on cooperation between chambers of commerce of Yakutia and Hong Kong, the Federation of Industry and Commerce of Heilongjiang Province, between the Republic Investment Company (JSC "RIC") and Heilongjiang main company of Economics and Technology were signed.
